Sonic Summary

The position is for a Credit Controller on a minimum 3-month contract based in Grimsby, offering a salary of up to £30,000 FTE.
The ideal candidate should have at least 3 months of experience in a varied Credit Control role, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Key responsibilities include managing Local Authority debtors, monthly reporting, and assisting with cash flow forecasting and sales invoices.
The role also requires proficiency in Sage accounting packages and Excel, along with excellent communication abilities.
This opportunity allows for hybrid and flexible working, as well as 24 days of holiday plus bank holidays.

Credit Controller (Minimum 3 Month Contract) – Grimsby – Up to £30,000 FTE We are proud to be working with a Lincolnshire based, forward-thinking, not for profit business who are currently seeking a confident and experienced Credit Controller. The ideal candidate will have sound experience of working in a varied Credit Control position, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills. In Return You’ll Receive:

Credit Control Responsibilities:

Dealing predominantly with Local Authority debtors, plus some private sector and private customers
Monthly reporting on progress to Executive Management Team and internal stakeholders
Liaising with the Finance and Resources Director over cash flow forecasting
Assist the Finance Team in raising sales invoices

Checking of sales invoices raised for completeness and accuracy against contract information

Posting of cash on a daily basis to the Sales Ledger from Bank receipts
Assist as required in the monthly accounting closedown including bank and trade debtors reconciliations
Analysis of any credit balances and also any possible bad or doubtful debts
Covering as required other tasks within the Finance Team

Required Skills & Experience:

Experience working in a Credit Control role
Knowledge of Sage accounting packages
Experienced with Excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
