Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Permanent – Stallingborough - Salary Negotiable
Our client is a world leading chemical manufacturing company who operate globally in many different continents. They are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team on their top tier COMAH site in Stallingborough.
What you will do
In this role you will be responsible for the delivering of day-to-day maintenance service and support to the manufacturing plant. You will provide technical engineering assistance to the plant personnel, including production & maintenance supervisors, maintenance technicians, manufacturing engineers and planners.
You will be responsible for providing technical input into inspection findings to ensure continued fitness for service of static & rotating equipment and to ensure repairs conducted are compliant to code. You will be proactive in ensuring timely asset replacements, either through capital or revenue, ensuring no disruption to the plant. You will work with plant Reliability Engineers to improve plant reliability by systematic identification and rectification of poorly performing equipment or processes.
 As part of a multi-disciplinary team operating a top-tier COMAH site, occupational and process safety activities are key, and you must be able to demonstrate capability in both of these areas. You will also be responsible for ensuring maintenance activities within your areas of responsibility are conducted to the correct site, national and international standards.
Primary Responsibilities
· Manages small projects, either capital or expense.
· Resource for the maintenance supervisors regarding high level troubleshooting.
· Plays an active role in developing maintenance budgets.
· Analyses maintenance cost to find opportunities for improvement.
· Performs engineering design calculations as needed for maintenance team.
· Specialist resource to assist in the management of reactive maintenance repair issues.
· Develops SOW for the Reliability and Projects teams to investigate and execute longer term remedies.
· Assists the Maintenance Coordinator in improving the execution of scheduled maintenance tasks.
· Skilled in diagnosing faults and repairing equipment.
· Revise and create maintenance procedures.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will be a motivated, talented self-starter with a desire to develop. You will ideally have the following skills, knowledge and experience whilst also being able to demonstrate our clients’ values.
· A Mechanical Engineering degree, ideally to chartered status.
· Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation, preferably NEBOSH Certificate qualified
· Experience of delivering a high standard of maintenance engineering within a chemical manufacturing environment.
