An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement And Contract Category Managerto join our public sector client in Grimsby on a temporary basis to start asap until 18th July 2025.
This role is 4 days a week and we would expect the successful candidate to be in the office for 3 of those days.
The Main Purpose of the Procurement And Contract Category Manager is:
The purpose of this role is to collaborate with the Place and Resources Transformation Unit, delivering efficient and cost-effective procurement and contract management support across various categories, including ICT and professional services
The Procurement And Contract Category Manager Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- To ensure value for money in procurements by complying with internal Contract Procedure Rules, Financial Regulations, the Procurement Strategy, and other appropriate policies
- Providing strategic direction and leadership in all matters relating to procurement activity, including assurance and compliance with Public Contract Regulations and any relevant future regulations
- Providing advice and guidance to the service areas, and leading public sector procurement activity
- Lead on all procurement and contract management matters, including legal and commercial implications of decisions and recommendations
- Provide expert procurement and contract management advice to the service areas
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with the service areas, external partners and Transformation Unit and promote the principles of good procurement and contract management practice
The Perfect Procurement And Contract Category Manager will be:
- Have significant experience of delivering procurements that fall under TCT and Professional services
- Able to work out of the office in Grimsby 3 out of 4 days per week
