Our client, a large household name, with modern offices in Guildford, Surrey, is looking to recruit a Commercial Statutory Accountant to join their team, on a working from home basis. You will enjoy a varied role working within the statutory team to ensure accurate stat accounts for 20 UK divisions. The accounts are to be prepared and produced in line with UK GAAP and filed on-time with unqualified audit opinions. Duties will include:
- Prepare and produce financial statements
- Plan, lead and deliver annual accounts
- Provide technical accounting advice to various teams within the group
- Preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations
- Provide quarterly balance sheet reviews
- Prepare quarterly board accounts pack
- Work closely with the Systems Accounting Team in providing continuous improvements
- Adhoc UK Corporate finance support
To be considered for this role you must have:
- A formal qualified accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience of UK statutory accounting
- Knowledge of financial accounting and analysis within a large organisation
- Advanced Excel
A generous base salary along with excellent benefits package is on offer, whilst the position is working from home, there is the opportunity to work in the offices if you prefer. You must be able to be present for meetings each month and therefore live within a commutable distance of Guildford.
