Architectural Technologist

Location: Guildford

Salary: £32000-£40000 (dependent on experience)

A leading architectural firm with a rich history and a commitment to innovation is seeking a dynamic and creative Architectural Technologist to join their team in Guildford. This RIBA-chartered practice is renowned for its expertise in delivering exceptional design solutions across various sectors, including commercial, residential, retail, and education.

The successful Architectural Technologist will have sufficient experience working on retail projects and will be comfortable conducting site visits and running projects through all RIBA stages. You should have excellent knowledge of current UK building regulations and will be proficient using Revit and AutoCAD.

Skills, Responsibilities and Experience for the role of Architectural Technologist:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field
  • Thorough understanding of UK building regulations and construction methods
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative mindset
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Collaborate closely with architects, designers, and project managers to develop detailed construction drawings and specifications
  • Ensure all designs comply with building regulations and standards
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design specifications
  • Assist in the preparation of planning applications and building control documentation
  • Proficient in the use of Revit and AutoCAD
