Our client, who are a well-known and exciting business based in Guildford are seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their Accounts team on a temporary basis. To be successful in this role, you will have consistent Accounts Payable knowledge and experience. The successful individual will be able to meet the expected demands of the business, provide a high quality service to the business and suppliers. You will also have a wealth of experience processing Purchase Orders and reconciling invoices.

Accounts Payable Assistant - About The Role

  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Dealing with supplier queries via phone and email
  • Investigating discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices
  • Coding and processing all invoices received in the business
  • Controlling and monitoring the authorisation of invoices
  • Managing the Accounts Payable inbox
  • General ad-hoc accounts duties as and when requested

The successful Accounts Payable Assistant will have:

It is essential that you have the following skills and experience:

  • A wealth of solid/consistent Accounts Payable experience, in particular, experienced in coding and processing a high volume of invoices on a daily basis
  • Processing purchase orders
  • Reconciling invoices
  • Resolving queries
  • An excellent work ethic, attention to detail and strong communication skills
  • Organised and used to working in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Prior experience within an Accounts Payable role is essential
