Location: Guildford (Office-based) with travel cross the UK
Salary: £140k plus bonus, pension 8% matched, private medical as well as the opportunity to join their LTIP
Managing Director – The Opportunity
Our client is a fast-growing business in the Renewable Energy sector, they have an exciting opportunity for a Managing Director to oversee their Sustainable Energy division. This is a leadership role to oversee the day-to-day operations of a growing business. As the Managing Director you are responsible for developing and overseeing the day to day running of the business and the management of the dedicated team.
The role is office-based with regular travel across the UK to visit clients.
Managing Director – The Role:
This role will be primarily responsible for the running of a team dedicated to designing, delivering and installing sustainable energy solutions to architects and the public and private sector. They have received recent investment approval and are poised for their next phase of growth.
You will be responsible for all areas of business, including sales, marketing, finance and operations. You must have a strong background in sales and be prepared to lead from the front in a sales capacity.
Managing Director - Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive background in renewables and sustainable energy
- Degree qualified in relevant Engineering discipline and /or MBA or equivalent
- Extensive experience working in a commercial role
- Excellent business skills with the ability to read a balance sheet and other financial documents
- Delegation skills to assign tasks to the correct departments or team members within the business
- Negotiation skills to get the best deals for the company
