Property Services Assistant

  • Job Type: Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)
  • Working Hours: Mon-Thurs 09:00 - 17:30, Fri 09:00 - 17:00

We are seeking a Property Services Assistant for a national housing association. This role requires someone with experience in housing, particularly in customer service or repairs. The position is an ongoing temporary booking and requires immediate availability.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist in the preparation, maintenance, and review of a list of approved contractors for major, day-to-day, and partnered maintenance works, as well as the appointment of contractors for specific works.
  • Liaise with customers regarding property-related matters and place orders for works using a bespoke computerised order system.
  • Ensure contractors are promptly and properly instructed and maintain a record of all works undertaken, ensuring satisfactory closure from the relevant team member.
  • Assist in the payment processing for all property-related invoices.
  • Order and administer scheme-related requirements.
  • Assist in the management and processing of communal buildings insurance claims.
  • Support all other administration and record keeping for the department as instructed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in housing, specifically in customer service or repairs.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using computerised systems for order placement and record keeping.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively liaising with both customers and contractors.
