Are you passionate about creating a sustainable built environment? A leading consultancy is seeking an Associate Building Physics Consultant to join their dynamic team.

They excel at navigating complex regulations to provide clients with seamless, comprehensive solutions.

As an Associate Building Physics Consultant, you will:

  • Provide high-quality technical and strategic advice across a range of building physics services, including Bioclimate Design, Building Performance Optimization, CFD Modelling, Daylight, Sunlight & Overshadowing, Microclimate Analysis, and more.
  • Collaborate with design teams on innovative, high-profile projects.
  • Prepare detailed reports for clients.
  • Actively contribute to the growth of the Building Physics team.
  • Manage key client accounts, fostering long-term, constructive relationships.

Ideal Principal candidates will have:

  • Over 10 years of experience in the construction industry (surveying, sustainability consultancy, architecture, planning, M&E).
  • A minimum of 10 years in a client-facing role.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SketchUp, Rhino, and Grasshopper.
  • Experience with IES, Design Builder, and Radiance/Ladybug tools.
  • Expertise in CFD modelling and simulation.
  • Knowledge of GLA planning requirements.
  • Experience in operational energy modelling (TM54, etc.).
  • Experience with overheating/daylight assessments and thermal bridging.
  • Proficiency in IES Apache HVAC for detailed energy modelling.
