Private Client Tax Assistant Manager – Guildford

TPF Recruitment is excited to be partnering with a leading accountancy firm to recruit for their Guildford Private Client Tax team. They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Private Client Tax Assistant Manager / Manager to join their team, working on a wide range of clients including OMBs, HNWIs, partners in partnerships, non-doms, and sole traders.

The Role

As a Private Client Tax Assistant Manager, you will be the first point of contact for your own portfolio of clients, assisting in the delivery of both advisory and compliance work. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of tax returns for a diverse portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, HNWIs, non-UK domiciliaries, non-UK residents, and other private clients.
  • Ensuring all administration for your portfolio is completed accurately, including compliance, accounts, tax returns, and tax computations.
  • Identifying tax planning opportunities for clients and preparing reports on these opportunities.
  • Managing work in progress (WIP) and client billing, ensuring deadlines are met and all tasks are completed efficiently.
Requirements

About You

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a professional services firm and have a strong knowledge of personal tax compliance. Ideally, you will have exposure to tax planning and advisory work. You should also have:

  • ACA, ATT, CTA or an equivalent qualification.
  • A solid understanding of personal tax compliance.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills, with a proactive approach to identifying planning opportunities.
  • Experience managing portfolios and billing.
