Procurement Bid Manager

Guildford Based (Hybrid 3-4 days per week on site)

45.50 an hour Umbrella Inside

12 Month Contract initially.


This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading Defence organisations based In Guildford

The candidate will be expected to lead and manage the procurement activity for strategic bids/projects in support of business winning.

The candidate will work as an integrated member of the Business Winning Capture Team supporting the Senior Leadership team to develop supply chain solutions, requiring the job holder to plan, deliver and deploy appropriate interventions and resource in support of business aims.

Contribute to the delivery of the functional and line of business IBP.

Experience required:-

  • Will have significant experience working within a business winning procurement environment.
  • Possess a high standard of Procurement competence in key areas of sourcing, process knowledge especially negotiation and contracting skills.
  • Excellent project management skills, product awareness, commercial acumen, financial awareness, risk and opportunity management
  • Good relationship management skills
  • Good understanding of external environment and relevant market intelligence
  • Demonstrate exemplary business acumen.
  • Ability to run and direct strategic bids and campaigns throughout the LCM lifecycle.
  • Excellent cross functional stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and lead a high performing team, enabling a positive working culture that embraces diversity of thought as required.
  • Coaching and supporting development as required.
  • Have CIPS L5 qualification, IACCM or equivalent standard.
