Dalton Recruitment has been instructed by one it’s key clients to secure the permanent services of an experienced, hands-on HR Manager capable of delivering a comprehensive HR service for its UK business based near Guildford. The role offers hybrid working 3 days office/2 days home. Salary of £50K + benefits.

The role will require a passion for delivering quality HR initiatives and suit someone with a very proactive approach to developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships. Confidence across the full suite of Employee Relations (grievance, disciplinaries, LSA, performance management etc), stakeholder influence, team development, experience working with payroll and HR data all required in some capacity. The role will suit someone who can bring a business partnering mentality as well as being naturally inquisitive.

The role requires someone with the following background:

  • 3-4 years in an HR Management or similar level HR role.
  • CIPD Qualified preferred
  • Strong people management / HR team leading skills
  • Extensive HR generalist responsibilities with a strong focus on resolving complex sensitive Employee Relations cases including grievance, disciplinary, long term sickness, performance management
  • Proven record in building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet conflicting priorities/deadlines.
  • Confident decision maker
  • Sound organisational skills.
  • Strong professionalism and credibility.
  • Have the ability to integrate into the firm as a trusted HR professional
  • Intermediate IT Skills including MS Word, Excel and HR databases
  • Commercially aware and able to influence all stakeholders

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the firm remains compliant with current employment legislation and embed best practice HR initiatives and processes within the business.
  • Ensure all firm policies, standards and agreed employee relations processes are adhered to by all staff.
  • Supporting the management team with advice and support on HR best practice and policies.
  • Supporting and coaching management team on all ER matters such as contracts of employment, absence and attendance and performance management issues
  • Experience of writing and implementing policies, procedures & guidelines
