Highly successful FTSE 250 Group require ACA or ACCA qualified individual, with a proven track record in either Audit or Accountancy, for a newly created Group Accountant position, that has arisen due to continued expansion.

About the role

Reporting to the Group Finance Manager the Group Accountant will undertake a varied and challenging role focussing on Group Consolidated Accounting & Reporting,Technical IFRS Accounting support and assisting with the Annual Group Audit. Key duties include:

  • Group consolidated accounting for across a multitude of corporate entities
  • Monthly financial reporting including P & L, balance sheet and cashflow
  • Integration of newly acquired entities into the consolidated total
  • Preparing group monthly management accounts for board review
  • Resolving group accounting matters such as acquisitions, goodwill impairment test and new accounting standards
  • Ensuring the company meet all relevantIFRSstandards
  • Managing the review and completion of all UK statutory accounts
  • WeeklyFlash Reporting and Quarterly bank reporting

About You

  • You will be ACA or ACCA Qualified with a proven audit background ideally gained within a Top 10 Accounting Firm
  • Applicants will have gained audit experience within a PLC environment and have a good knowledge ofIFRS
  • The successful candidate will ideally have gained exposure within a Group environment and have knowledge of consolidation systems
