Our client, based in the technology sector, is looking for a motivated Junior Project Manager to join their team on a maternity cover contract starting in December. This role will involve working with multiple stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and deliverables, while coordinating all project activities to ensure successful outcomes. The Junior Project Manager will collaborate closely with IT and other relevant client departments to optimise systems and implement process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders to establish project objectives, scope, and success criteria.
  • Create detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Track project progress, identifying and addressing risks and issues.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within the allocated budget.
  • Lead systems implementation efforts.
  • Oversee the deployment of software and systems.
  • Collaborate with IT and relevant teams to ensure smooth integration.
  • Provide user training and offer ongoing support.
  • Identify and implement process improvements through system optimisations.
  • Gather and analyse data to support continuous process improvement.
  • Propose and execute changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, progress reports, and change logs.
  • Prepare and deliver regular project updates to stakeholders.
  • Perform quality assurance testing to ensure system accuracy and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any system-related issues.
  • Ensure systems adhere to regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Implement security protocols to protect sensitive data.
  • Attend frequent team meetings and weekly calls to provide project updates and align on priorities.
  • Manage status reports, track risks and issues, and liaise with both technology companies and education clients.

Experience and Skills Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is an advantage.
  • Exceptional project management abilities, with strong skills in task prioritisation and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—must be confident and articulate, especially in providing regular status reports and addressing risks and issues.
  • Ability to manage lots of status updates, risks, and issues with clarity and professionalism.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
