Grafton Banks Finance is partnering with a rapidly growing commercial business based in Guildford, Surrey, to recruit a Billing Assistant on an initial three-month temporary contract.
This role sits within the finance operations team, supporting the company’s billing process to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and process sales invoices using operating software.
- Oversee the timely and accurate flow of billing files (invoices and pro formas), ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams in Operations and Account Management to drive efficiency and service excellence.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, responding to inquiries within agreed timeframes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
- Provide supporting documentation for audits and client requests.
- Proactively monitor pending invoices, ensuring timely processing.
Ideal Candidate:
- Immediately available and able to start at short notice.
- Previous billing experience, ideally in a standalone billing role.
- Strong systems skills, including proficiency in Excel.
- Able to commute to Guildford daily.
