Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide administrative support to the Dispute Resolution Partner.
  • Manage file administration including opening, closing, storing, and retrieving documents as per firm procedures.
  • Accurately input and manage data within the practice management system.
  • Draft correspondence and legal documents using dictation tools.
  • Handle diary management for self and colleagues, ensuring key dates and follow-ups are tracked.
  • Lead a secretarial support team of 5, ensuring high-quality support is consistently delivered to solicitors and the broader team.
  • Coordinate secretarial resources effectively to manage absences, peak workload periods, and planning for future needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within Dispute Resolution or Civil Litigation.
  • Some management experience, capable of leading a small team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
