We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Property Paralegal to join our Property Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including completing legal forms, drafting documents, and liaising with clients and lenders. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently and provide support to our legal team.

Day to day of the role:

  • Complete Stamp Duty forms and submit Land Registry returns.
  • Request and manage Land Registry documents.
  • Respond to requisitions raised by the Land Registry.
  • Liaise with banks to order redemption statements.
  • Draft various legal notices and letters.
  • Handle daily downloads of search results and title documents.
  • Prepare completion statements and activate building warranty policies.
  • Draft Contracts and Transfer Deeds, and order property searches.
  • Update lender’s portals and send title documents to lenders and clients.
  • Calculate apportionments and complete Fee Notes for fee earners.
  • Manage CQS administration including courses.
  • Process financial transactions such as raising cheques & e-chits.
  • Maintain up-to-date legal materials and conduct legal research as required.
  • Share general tasks with other paralegals, including witnessing documents, will binding, and managing post and DX.
  • Provide reception cover, including switchboard operation, greeting visitors, and preparing for meetings.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as scanning, photocopying, binding, drafting meeting minutes, answering phones, and filing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Property Paralegal or in a similar role within a legal setting.
  • Familiarity with legal documentation and conveyancing processes.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in standard office software and legal databases.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently when required.
