Supply Chain Assistant Manager

Temp to Perm, Must be available immediately

Location: Guildford, Surrey

Full Time 8-hour day (40 hrs/week) 08:00 - 16:30 (30 minutes lunch)

Job Summary

OPR is looking to recruit a Supply Chain Assistant Manager for their client based in Guildford on a temp to perm basis.

The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, who is motivated with experience in the field and keen to take on a challenging role. Reporting to the Supply Chain and Purchasing Manager to ensure that the order fulfilment process is as smooth as possible. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a global manufacturing organisation and would be ideal for someone looking to expand their skillset and knowledge.

Responsibilities / Duties

1. Order/Distribution Management

  • Processing orders daily, meeting timelines to meet delivery cut-offs.
  • Updating Sales Log
  • Coordinate delivery with 3rd party logistics service providers
  • Generate Proforma/Checking payment for proforma orders (Boiler/Service parts)

2. Order Processing

  • Create Sales order on SAP
  • Process Sales order and delivery on SAP
  • Maintain Data on SAP (pricing, new customers and address registration)
  • Efficiently dealing with return requests
  • Arranging collection and processing returns on SAP

3. Service Parts Order Processing

  • Process Service parts requested by Service team (repair/replacement)
  • Update Service parts distribution log

4. Invoicing

  • Generate Sales invoices on SAP
  • Generate credit notes

5. Customer Service

  • Deal with Queries from customer/branches

Skills/ Experience

  • Proven experience in Supply Chain Management or Logistics
  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
  • Exquisite communication and people skills.
  • Good understanding and experience working with MS office, SAP experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Ability to work as a team and individually.
  • Highly motivated, with the willingness to learn new processes and adapt to changes.
  • Ability to learn quickly, retain knowledge and work on own initiative to make decisions quickly and efficiently to prioritize workload.
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be able to communicate at all levels across the business.
  • Driver’s license and be able to business trip.
  • Strong communication, listening and organisational skills.
