An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Site Manager to work with a leading contractor in the wastewater industry on a major project based in Guildford. This role offers the chance to play a key part in delivering a high-profile project while ensuring that all site operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in an environmentally responsible manner.

Purpose of the Role
The Site Manager is responsible for managing all site activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and coordinating effectively with the project team, sub-contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
路Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality assurance, and health and safety standards.
路Supervise sub-contractors to ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
路Maintain strong communication and relationships with the client and internal teams.
路Manage site facilities and ensure high standards of accommodation and resources.
路Oversee material handling, ensuring efficient and safe storage.
路Produce and distribute accurate daily site records.
路Act as the company's environmental representative on-site.
路Monitor project progress, report delays, and provide updates to the Project Manager.
路Fulfill health, safety, and environmental responsibilities in line with company policies.

Performance Indicators
路Successful project completion and client handover.
路Effective implementation of health and safety regulations.
路Efficient management of the site team and sub-contractors.
路Accurate and timely completion of all required documentation.
路Resolution of project snags before client handover.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
路A formal engineering qualification (minimum HNC or equivalent preferred).
路IOSH Managing Safely in Construction or NEBOSH certification.
路SMSTS/SSSTS certification.
路CSCS or affiliated card (e.g., SHEA Water, ECS).
路National Water Hygiene Card (for potable water projects).
路Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant IT tools.
路Demonstrable experience in a site management role, ideally within the water/wastewater industry or related sectors.
Desirable:
路First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid certification.
路C&G Confined Space Entry qualification.
