Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop in Guildford.

Role Overview:

As a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician, in Guildford, you will be responsible for accurately diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles. You will utilise your technical expertise and advanced diagnostic skills to identify and rectify complex vehicle faults efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise diagnostic equipment and software to accurately identify vehicle faults
  • Perform advanced diagnostics on engine management systems, ABS, and other electronic systems
  • Repair and maintain a variety of light commercial vehicles
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used
  • Communicate effectively with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised work area

Qualifications and Experience Needed:

  • Level 3 NVQ/IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Diagnostic Technician or a Mechanic with strong diagnostic skills in the Automotive Industry
  • Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Full UK driving license
