Senior Payroller (6 months temporary contract)
  • Salary: PAYE: £28.20 - £30.76 per hour / Umbrella: £35.25 - £38.84 per hour
  • Location: Guilford
  • Job Type: Hybrid Working (Flexible to attend the office once a week to once a month depending on business needs)
  • Hours: 37.5 hours

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Payroller and play a crucial role in managing the payroll operations for approximately 200 payrolls across multiple EMEA countries including the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Nigeria, Sweden, Turkey, UK, and UAE. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll execution.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • End-to-End Payroll Processing: Manage the entire payroll process to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Data Management: Handle sensitive payroll data for new hires, terminations, and adjustments including stock income, fringe benefits, and bonuses.
  • Benefits and Pension Support: Work closely with the Benefits team to ensure seamless benefits and pension processing.
  • International Taxation: Coordinate with accounting firms to provide support on tax matters for employees on international assignments.
  • Financial Reporting: Collaborate with the finance team to ensure payroll is accurately recorded in the company’s accounts.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational and regulatory risks.
  • Customer Service: Deliver high-quality support to employees with payroll inquiries.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Show personal leadership and a solution-focused approach while working effectively with various teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience in payroll processing, particularly with payrolls in EMEA countries.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of EMEA payroll compliance requirements.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with Workday HCM and ADP Celergo preferred; advanced Excel skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
