Your new companyMy client, a leading software tool company, is at the cutting edge of developing innovative solutions that empower businesses to excel in a digital landscape. They are committed to delivering secure, efficient, and forward-thinking software tools that meet the dynamic needs of their clients.I am looking for a diligent and knowledgeable Compliance Officer to join the team based in Surrey. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of regulatory policies, data protection, and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, along with at least 2 years of relevant experience. As a Compliance Officer, you will ensure that the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations, protecting both our business and our customers. Your new role

  • Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments.
  • Ensure adherence to data protection regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Oversee KYC processes to verify customer identities and prevent fraud.
  • Provide training and support to staff on compliance-related issues.
  • Stay informed about changes in regulatory policies and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with various departments to address compliance issues and implement solutions.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably in the software or technology sector.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory policies, data protection laws, and KYC processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) are advantageous.
