Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead and inspire staff and students, fostering an environment that encourages mutual respect, tolerance, care, and support.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies and systems for assessment, reporting, and recording to support high-quality teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
  • Construct the school timetable to maximise curriculum delivery and student progress.
  • Maintain up to 50% timetabled teaching commitment, modelling best practice.
  • Use data-driven decision-making to monitor student progress and identify trends, ensuring interventions are purposeful.
  • Collaborate with Heads of Department and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the timetable supports the curriculum and school improvement priorities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • An honours degree and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Recent, relevant professional leadership development.
  • Demonstrable experience in successful line management and staff development.
  • Proven ability to motivate, enthuse, engage, and influence all stakeholders to deliver the vision and collectively raise standards.
  • Strong understanding of recent government initiatives in education and their potential impact.
  • Ability to interpret complex data trends to improve learning outcomes.
