Lead Software Developer (DV Cleared / Eligibility)

Are you an experienced software developer looking for the next step in your career? We are seeking a Lead Software Developer to join a dynamic team, working on cutting-edge network security and data processing applications.

About the Role

As a Lead Software Developer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining sophisticated software solutions. You will be involved in designing and implementing high-quality applications, mentoring team members, and supporting customers in using the software effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop software for network security applications.

  • Implement signal, image, and data processing applications in C/C++.

  • Design and develop user interfaces using HTML, TypeScript, and JavaScript.

  • Provide support and training to customers on software usage.

  • Mentor and lead junior developers.

About You

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual who is capable of working independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Essential Skills & Experience:
  • 3+ years of software development experience, preferably in C/C++.

  • Strong academic background, with a 1st or 2:1 degree (or PhD) in a numerate discipline.

  • A-levels in Maths and Physics at grade A (or equivalent strong academic performance).

  • Experience with source control systems such as Subversion.

  • Understanding of efficient and clear software design principles.

  • Familiarity with using and configuring Linux systems.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
