Nursery Manager - Guisborough - January start

This role is to start in January on a full-time long-term basis.

The hours will be 40 hours per week


Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding leadership and operational management of the nursery.
Maintain an exciting and inspirational child-led, play-based curriculum in line with our IB framework.
To manage, train, support and inspire our staff team to be able to meet the needs of all children in our care.
Manage the nursery, contributing to the writing and monitoring of an annual budget and implementing marketing and sales plans for the nursery.
Use our Tapestry system to monitor childrens progress, share observations with parents and plan activities to support each childs development.
To maintain staffing ratios at all times.
Engage parents and the community in the nursery.
Work under the guidance of our EYFS Lead to share good practice and ensure consistent implementation of approaches to childcare.
Maintain full regulatory and legislative approval for the nursery, including meeting Ofsted, Environmental Health and Health and Safety requirements.
To undertake any other duties and responsibilities reasonably requested by the leadership team.

Abilities
A genuine enthusiasm for and an inspirational approach to helping young children develop.
Strong advocate of early years with an excellent understanding of the differing developmental needs of children and an ability to draw on academic research and evidence to drive best practice.
Demonstrable leadership qualities able to motivate and develop others and self.
Enthusiasm for the work and values of the organisation.
Ability to engage the community and build relationships with parents.
Excellent communication skills.

Skills/Qualifications:
QTS, Early Years Professional Status, Early Years Teacher Status or another suitable qualification that is full and relevant for early years.
Good communication skills with children, parents and colleagues.
The ability to work in a thriving team and busy environment.
A working knowledge of the nursery free entitlement system and local authority reporting requirements, for which they will be responsible.
An understanding of local safeguarding procedures.
An embedded understanding of child development and how children learn.
An embedded understanding of the EYFS and Development Matters.
