My client, a dynamic global food company, seeks a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to ensure optimal machinery performance and uphold safety standards. This crucial role involves maintaining and repairing equipment to minimise downtime and ensure smooth operations.
Shift Details: 12-hour shifts on a specific schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and resolve plant issues.
- Develop strategies for efficient operations and enhance operator autonomy.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and emergencies.
- Oversee external contractors on-site.
- Ensure compliance with BRC Site Standards.
- Compile KPIs to track performance and drive initiatives.
- Implement Planned Preventative Maintenance and conduct Root Cause Analysis.
- Manage Corrective Maintenance and Asset Management.
- Maintain critical spares and support Business Continuity Planning.
Skills Required:
- Strong problem-solving and proactive approach.
- Knowledge of industrial mechanical maintenance and electrical fault finding.
- Familiarity with pumps, pneumatics, and PLC systems is a plus.
- Good communication skills and teamwork.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring.
- Recognised engineering qualifications.
- Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing and FMCG is a bonus.
- Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.

This is a full-time permanent position. The starting salary is 37,000 pa, to be increased on a successful probationary period.
