Prime Appointments are currently working with a manufacturer based in Ipswich who are looking for a talented CNC Miller to join their experienced team based in Ipswich.


This company is on the hunt for a CNC Miller who has the ability to work independently but also can get stuck in as part of a team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate machines with Fanuc controls
  • Perform first-off inspections using handheld gauges, micrometers, and verniers
  • Create programs directly on the machine based on engineering drawings
  • Upload and edit programs on machines using Fanuc controls
  • Coordinate with the Team Leader regarding drawings and job cards
  • Adhere to company Health and Safety Standards
  • Set up new fixtures and adjust existing ones on CNC mills
  • Set tools and fixtures, making necessary offset adjustments
  • Conduct gauge checks
  • Change tools, tips, and reset datums as required

Essential Experience:

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential
  • Experience in setting up and operating CNC milling machines is required
  • Proficiency in uploading and editing programs is crucial, with programming skills being a plus
  • Knowledge of Fanuc controls is desirable
  • Strong communication skills are important
  • Must be able to work independently with a proactive mindset.
