Waking Nights Support Worker – EBD Children’s Home
Location: Suffolk (Outskirts of Hadleigh)
Position: 2 x Waking Nights Support Worker
Shift Pattern: 4 nights on / 4 nights off (10 PM - 8 AM)
Salary: £23,890 per annum
About the Role
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people? Join our dedicated team at an EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) children’s home located on the outskirts of Hadleigh. Our home is registered to provide care for up to four girls aged between 10 and 18 years who display emotional and behavioural difficulties.
We are looking for caring and committed individuals to support and nurture the children in our care during the night hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overnight Supervision: Ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children throughout the night.
- Safety Checks: Conduct regular safety and security checks as needed.
- Food Preparation: Prepare meals and snacks as required.
- Housekeeping: Undertake light cleaning and tidying tasks to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
- Paperwork: Complete relevant documentation and logs accurately and in a timely manner.
What We’re Looking For:
- Car Driver: Due to our location and occasional requirements, a valid driving license is essential.
- Experience (Preferred): While experience working with children is desirable, it is not essential. Full training will be provided.
- Essential Qualities: A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to remain calm and proactive in challenging situations.
