Warehouse and Forklift Operator

You’ll be used to constantly changing your daily routines to satisfy ever changing priorities in supplying materials to the production team and ensuring the quick turn-around of goods out. My long established Hailsham-based manufacturing client is looking for an energetic Warehouse Operative with Counter Balance Forklift experience to fill this physically demanding position.

The role of the Warehouse and Forklift Operator will include:

• Ensuring enough materials are available to the manufacturing team
• Strapping and packaging outbound goods
• Using a scanner to record goods in and out
• Operating a forklift to load vehicles ready for deliveries the following day
• Unloading incoming materials, (palletized and non-palletized) and moving to designated areas
• Ensuring that waste is baled, and the work area is kept clean, safe and tidy

Skills and experience required for the Warehouse and Forklift Operator are:

• Counterbalance Forklift experience
• Experience of using a pallet truck and strapping tools
• RF Scanner use
• Using computerised stock control systems
