Generalist HR Business Partnering role with responsibility for:

  • The day to day delivery of the HR service for allocated service areas and lead area of specialism delivery (Recruitment/Wellbeing/Policy)Making decisions about how the service is delivered and prioritisation of workload. Involved in key decisions about budget expenditure in my specialism and make recommendations on procurement of services.
  • Strategic responsibility, alongside the People & OD Manager, for performance and delivery of the People & OD Strategy and action plan, as well as HR KPI's.
  • Work with the People and OD Manager and OD Business Partner to ensure organisational development initiatives are integrated and support the achievement of organisational strategy and delivery of the local plan.
  • Provide dedicated support, advice, and challenge to colleagues across the organisation.
  • To provide interpretation and advice on employment conditions, remuneration, employment law and other people matters, and initiate changes to policy and procedure to ensure compliance with best practice.
  • To advise on and participate in formal proceedings including investigations and hearings as appropriate.
  • To undertake job evaluations for pay/grading purposes as required and updating of job descriptions to reflect modern ways of working.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Considerable broad ranging and recent experience of implementing people policies and practice
  • Substantial experience of delivering a people service
  • Expertise in people analytics and making recommendations to leaders on decisions.
  • Proven experience of facilitating and influencing strategy at senior level
  • Up to date experience of implementing job evaluation systems
  • Considerable and up to date knowledge of HR, employment law and evidence of CPD.
