Marks Sattin are working in partnership with a reputable Construction business in the Halesowen are to recruit a Project Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis. The role requires the job holder to be within a commutable distance from the offices, as the role will be based in the office 5 days per week.

My client is well-renowned globally for their diverse portfolio of projects, innovation and client satisfaction. As a result, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Project Accountant to join the dynamic team. The role will report to the Financial Controller.

As a Project Accountant, you will play a critical role in the finance team, ensuring the financial success of various projects simultaneously. You will be responsible for project costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Your expertise will help drive financial efficiency and support strategic decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities of the Project Accountant include:

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
  • Monitor and control project expenditures.
  • Perform financial analysis and provide insights on project performance.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to align financial goals.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.

To be considered you must be:

  • A Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA or Qualified by Experience.
  • Proven experience in project accounting, ideally within the construction industry.
  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Able to commute to the offices on a daily basis.
