They now have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic and innovative team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in supporting financial operations, business partnering with head of departments and make a real impact on the continued success of the business.This role comes with an annual salary of up to £35,000.00.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with financial analysis, ensuring risks and opportunities are identified, and contribute to optimising balance sheet performance.
  • Take ownership of the P&L for your designated area.
  • Prepare key financial reports, including month-end reports, business reviews, budgets, and cash analysis for monthly reviews with senior stakeholders.
  • Help lead weekly forecasting, providing insights to improve financial performance.
  • Support with month-end closure tasks, ensuring timely and accurate reports.
  • Work closely with operational teams, ensuring effective use of financial data and business reporting tools.
  • Help identify areas for process improvement, taking ownership of specific areas like balance sheet processes.

Candidate Experience, Skills and Attributes:

  • Actively studying the final stages of CIMA/ACCA.
  • Strong experience in accounting and management accounting roles.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with non-finance teams.
  • Adaptable, resilient, and eager to embrace change.
  • Passionate about continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills.
