Job Role: Transport Controller - French, Spanish or German Speaking
Salary: £35,000 - £36,000 - Depending on experience
Working hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am-5.00pm, (1 Hour Lunch Break)
Location: Birmingham - Hybrid working available
(2 days working remotely / 3 days working in the office)

As a Transport Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth transportation of products between the network and their valued customers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Transport Planning: Collaborate with transport firms to strategise effective logistics.
- Procurement & Negotiation: Engage in commercial negotiations to secure optimal transport solutions.
- Performance Monitoring: Track carrier performance and report on key performance indicators, such as on-time delivery.
- Cost Control: Follow the transport purchase process to manage budgets effectively.
- International Transport Management: Understand import/export requirements and arrange necessary logistics.
- Documentation Management: Handle transport-related documents and oversee customs procedures.
- Relationship Building: Nurture long-term relationships with haulage firms and understand their needs.
- Business Development: Identify transport opportunities and present our products and services as the best fit for prospects.
What You Bring:We are looking for someone with:
- Prior experience as a transport coordinator - experience in retail, logistics, or manufacturing is a plus.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities; a proactive and organised approach.
- A self-starter with a 'can do' attitude, commercial awareness, and a philosophy of continuous improvement.
