Are you an experienced Machine Tool Engineer with a passion for leadership and engineering excellence? A growing and innovative engineering firm in Halesowen is seeking a Senior Machine Tool Engineer to lead their maintenance team and drive continuous improvement.

About the Role

As a Senior Machine Tool Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the reliability of plant equipment, machinery, and infrastructure. Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supervising the machine tool team, contractors, and apprentices.
  • Planning and executing both planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Driving plant reliability improvements through effective use of CMMS.
  • Interpreting mechanical and electrical engineering drawings.
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Overseeing installation, commissioning, and servicing tasks.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to operational staff.

This role also includes deputizing for the Maintenance Management Team and working collaboratively across departments to meet organisational goals.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and mentoring.
  • A self-motivated, proactive mindset and excellent teamwork capabilities.
  • A Level 3 NVQ/BTEC qualification (or equivalent).
