Process Metallurgist

Location: Halesowen, West Midlands.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Days only.
Salary: 35,000 - 40,000 p/a DOE.

I am pleased to be recruiting for real market leader in their industry.

My client based in Halesowen is looking for an experienced Process Metallurgist to join their expanding team on a day-to-day basis with flexibility of start and finish times.

You would have a good understanding of metallurgical concepts of either previously worked as a metallurgist or are currently working as a metallurgist or be able to demonstrate knowledge and exposure to metallurgical concepts through your recent experiences.
You will have great attention to detail and have worked closely with BS EN 9100 QMS with an analysis background.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following experiences:

Process Control for Forge and Heat Treatment.
Routine testing and failure investigations.
Providing technical support and input internally and externally.
Supporting the quality departments.
Failure trends.
Design and implement preventative actions.
Technical contract reviews.
Assistance with internal and external audits.

Qualifications:

Ideally a materials engineering/metallurgical or equivalent qualification. HNC or Degree.
Previous experience in a manufacturing and/or forging environment is preferred.

Location: Halesowen, West Midlands.
Hours: 7.30am - 4pm or 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
Salary: 35,000 - 40,000 p/a DOE.
