Accounts Technician | Temporary | Halesowen | Salary negotiable depending on experience

This is a fantastic opportunity for an AAT qualified Accounts Technician to join an exciting, growing Accountancy Practice in Halesowen.

1 day per week to work from home will be available upon completion of probation period

Seymour John are thrilled to be working in partnership with an exciting and well-established Accountancy Practice in Halesowen who are on the search for an enthusiastic, dynamic Accounts Technician to join their growing team.

The Opportunity

You will play a key part in supporting their client base, which consists of growth-orientated small to mid-sized business owners.

Duties of the role will include:

  • Accurately maintain and update clients’ financial records, using Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage Line 50.
  • Accurately process payroll for clients, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations, timely submissions, and precise calculations of wages, deductions, and contributions. This includes managing pension contributions, CIS adjustments on EPS,  tax codes, and other payroll elements, providing clients with clear reports and guidance on payroll matters.
  • Preparing accounts for small and medium-sized enterprises in various industries, including retail, manufacturing, hospitality, and construction
  • The preparation of CT600 corporation tax returns, Personal Tax Returns Sa100 and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, VAT Returns CIS Contractors submission, with proactive updates on tax law changes.
  • Generate clear, actionable financial/management reports, including budgets/Forecasts Cashflows KPI’s to support clients to make informed decisions, aligning with their growth and strategic goals.
  • Maintain strong, supportive relationships with clients, providing timely responses to queries and offering assistance in understanding their financial position.
