Your new companyThis school has an emphasis on inspiring students and showing them the benefits of having a good education. Providing students with the best opportunities is at the heart of this school, with teachers providing a supportive learning environment where successes can be shared and celebrated, and struggles can be talked about and overcome. The school is also part of a multi-academy trust that caters for children aged 6 weeks to 19 years old across their nurseries, primary and secondary academies. The MAT provides additional support to the school and has allowed it to continue to build strong links with both the local community and the other school communities within the trust to create an inclusive and collaborative learning environment. The school is easily commutable by both car and public transport.

Your new roleThis is a temporary position, on long-term supply until Easter - with the possibility it will extend, or go permanent. This is 5 days a week, on a weekly timesheet. You will:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Participate in school-wide events and activities as required.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent - this is suitable for ECTs/NQTs
  • Experience teaching Religious Education at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with other teachers.
