Primary Teacher (Full-Time)Primary Age Group: 4-11 years Children's Needs: The primary class consists of children with moderate to severe learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering personalised learning experiences, utilising a range of strategies to engage students, and supporting their social and emotional development. Experience in sensory learning, alternative communication methods, and behaviour management will be highly valued.Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of students.
- Supporting students' social and emotional well-being.
- Working closely with teaching assistants and other professionals to provide the best possible support for each child.
- Engaging with families and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching children with learning difficulties, ASD, and SEMH needs.
- Strong communication skills, both with students and parents.
- Patience, creativity, and a positive approach to overcoming challenges.
2. Secondary Teacher (Full-Time)Secondary Age Group: 11-16 years Children's Needs: The secondary class includes students with a range of complex needs, including moderate to severe learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), SEMH challenges, and additional learning needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for adapting secondary curriculum content to suit individual students' needs, ensuring they receive an education that helps them to progress academically and socially. Experience in providing emotional support, managing challenging behaviour, and differentiating lessons is essential.Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering a broad and balanced curriculum adapted to the specific learning and developmental needs of each student.
- Providing a nurturing and structured classroom environment to support students with SEMH and ASD.
- Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, including support staff, therapists, and external agencies.
- Differentiating resources to make learning accessible for all students.
- Encouraging independence and building students' confidence to succeed in their academic and personal goals.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience in secondary education.
- Knowledge and experience in teaching students with learning difficulties, ASD, SEMH, and additional needs.
