Semi-Senior Accountant | Halifax/Bradford | Full Time – 9am-5pm Monday to Friday | £22,000 - £25,000

Our client is a long established, friendly and team oriented firm of accountants. They offer a variety of accounting services to small and medium sized businesses including audits and charities.

Their services encompass commercial advice for businesses, accounts preparation, auditing management accounts, bookkeeping, payroll, personal and corporate tax returns.

This role is practice based, and the employer will consider both part-qualified candidates and those who are qualified by experience.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • A minimum of 3 years experience working in a practice environment is required
  • You will be AAT/ACCA part qualified/qualified by experience
  • Knowledge of accounting software packages such as CCH, QuickBooks and Sage 50 Accounts would be preferable
  • Strong accounts preparation skills
  • You will be a team player
  • Have good all round experience of a practice environment and are willing to help out in all aspects of what the practice does
  • Willing to work overtime in peak periods
  • Good IT skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be a car driver and own your own vehicle

What will your role look like?

  • Accounts preparation and assisting in audits
  • Assisting seniors, peers and the admin team as required
  • Preparation of regular management accounts
  • You will work towards the overall effective and efficient performance of the firm
  • Bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns
