JHE and Partners are delighted to be working with a growing business in Halifax who are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Senior Credit Controller on a temporary basis with immediate start! The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the credit control process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments are received.
  • Prepare and send out invoices, statements, and reminders for overdue accounts.
  • Liaise with customers to resolve payment discrepancies and disputes.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communications with customers regarding their accounts.
  • Conduct credit checks on new customers to assess risk levels.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to manage customer credit limits effectively.
  • Generate reports on aged debtors and present findings to management.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable as needed.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role is essential.
  • Familiarity with accounting software
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and practices related to credit management.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external clients
