Kenton Black are delighted to be working with a Yorkshire based reputable accountancy firm, established over 35 years with 3 branches across different cities and towns in West Yorkshire
They are currently looking to recruit an Accounts Semi Senior, AAT part qualified with a minimum of 3 years practice experience. The role can be based in either their Bradford or Halifax office

record keeping, filing returns and accounts, audits, taxes, payroll and VAT advice, forecasting, funding and above all, good sound business advice.

As Accounts Semi Senior your key responsibilities will include:

Preparing basic sets of accounts (eg knowledge of accruals/prepayments and reconciliations)
Good understanding of debits/credits and journals (i.e. not rely on computer-based accountancy packages)
Communicate with clients to request information in order to complete Year End Accounts, VAT Returns, Personal Tax Returns etc. in a timely manner
Visit clients premises to undergo Bookkeeping activities (bank reconciliations, supplier statement reconciliations, producing payment runs etc.)
Inform clients of tax liabilities due with regards to CIS Returns, VAT Returns, Corporation Tax Returns & Personal Tax Returns
Complete & submit monthly CIS Returns
Work as a team with colleagues to ensure that all deadlines are met
Monthly Management Accounts for a range of clients (including charities)

Person Specification
As Accounts Semi Senior you will be expected to meet the following criteria
AAT part qualified or qualified
Minimum of 3 years practice experience in a similar role
Car driver with a full clean UK license plus vehicle
Ability to commute daily to either Halifax or Bradford
Ability to prepare a basic set of accounts with knowledge of accruals/ prepayments and reconciliations
Good understanding of debits and credits and journals without the need to reply on computer-based accountancy packages
Knowledge of CCH an advantage but not essential
