Are you an efficient and organised HR Professional? We're seeking an HR Assistant to support our clients HR team in delivering comprehensive HR services within an education setting. This role will involve assisting with HR administration, absence management, recruitment, and employee records management across internal systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general HR administrative support and handle HR queries
  • Maintain employee records across systems such as Cascade, Arbor and ensure compliance with GDPR
  • Assist in recruitment, including managing candidate communications and maintaining up-to-date recruitment documentation
  • Ensuring right-to-work checks and DBS checks are conducted
  • Support absence management by updating records, producing reports, and coordinating occupational health referrals
  • Assist with the induction process, ensuring records are updated and documentation is complete

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar HR administrative role.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Familiarity with HR systems (Cascade, Arbor iTrent) is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Use of own initiative to manage own workload.
  • Team player approach.
  • Proficiency in MS Office packages.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Sufficient checks will be required for this role, including but not limited to an enhanced DBS on the online update service, and 2 references.
