Due to a busy period within the team, our client can offer an immediate start to this position and are seeking a Payroll professional who can start this role at short notice.
Description
- Managing end-to-end payroll processes for a large workforce
- Ensuring the accuracy of payroll-related data
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee payroll queries
- Working closely with HR to align payroll with company policies and practices
- Preparing payroll reports for management as required
- Liaising with external auditors and managing payroll tax audits
- Continual improvement of payroll systems and processes
- Process ad-hoc Real Time Information (RTI) submissions to HMRC as required
- Deliver UK End of Year processing and reconciliations, including end of year RTI submissions and oversee issue of P60s.
Profile
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist
- Exceptional numeracy skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of payroll software and MS Office (particularly Excel)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with payroll regulations and requirements

Salary up to £35,000 per annum equivalent + immediate start available + ongoing interim position + accessible Halifax location + free parking on site + excellent staff benefits + high possibility this role will be extended.
