Are you an experienced and passionate Occupational Therapist? If so, I have a position with a leading rehabilitation service in Halifax, dedicated to supporting individuals with complex mental health needs and promoting recovery. There will be regular travel to 2 other sites in Leeds (mileage allowance will be paid for this).

About the Role:
As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will:

  • Provide high-quality OT interventions to promote recovery and independence.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create individualised care plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify strengths and challenges in self-care, productivity, and leisure.
  • Deliver group and one-to-one interventions that enhance daily living skills and encourage social inclusion.
  • Lead the development of OT pathways and contribute to service-wide improvements.
  • Occasionally travel to support our multisite services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload under the guidance of the Lead Occupational Therapist.
  • Develop, implement, and review personalised therapy goals with service users.
  • Promote community engagement and social participation through meaningful activities.
  • Mentor support staff and provide fieldwork placements for OT students.

What You'll Need:

  • A recognised Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC registration.
  • At least 3 years of post-graduate experience, including a minimum of 2 years in mental health.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and colleagues.
