Our client, a global name in the Oil and Gas industry, require an Internal Sales Engineer to free up time for the existing sales staff to work on business generation. This Internal Sales Engineer role will involve the production of quotes for valve products for facilities throughout the world from either existing end users or recently won work from an area Salesperson and following them through to completion. You will need good technical knowledge of flow control equipment (pumps, valves, actuators) with a focus on mechanical engineering. Internal Sales Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Valves, Oil&Gas, Chemical, Sales Engineer, Actuators, Mechanical Engineering, Pumps, Business Development, Quotes* Provide technical assistance and support for customers regarding technical specifications of products, and trouble shoot applications as needed* Working closely with Sales staff to establish the best commercial and technical offer to meet clients needs* Meet the quote and order processing KPIs and maintain CRM data accurately and promptly* Ensure that business systems and tools, including the ERP system, are used effectively and in line with business requirements* Prepare quotations, assimilation of costs, technical compliance, and assessment of margins to ensure the submission of the best commercial and technical bid to win the order* Carry out negotiations with clients to assess their needs, tailoring all bids and tenders to suit customer demand* Ensure all sales related documentation and communications are filed in line with agreed practices and in accordance with ISO approved quality system requirements* Troubleshoot / problem solve issues, escalating any urgent issues immediately to managementInternal Sales Engineer - Skills and Experience - Valves, Oil&Gas, Chemical, Sales Engineer, Actuators, Mechanical Engineering, Pumps, Business Development, Quotes* A minimum of three years technical sales experience within flow control (pumps, valves, actuators, automation equpment)* An understanding of oil and gas industry specifications is preferable* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written* Proven track record of working to tight deadlines* Computer literate with ERP experience* Educated to City & Guilds level or higher in Mechanical EngineeringInternal Sales Engineer, Valves, Oil&Gas, Chemical, Sales Engineer, Actuators, Mechanical Engineering, Pumps, Business Development, Quotes
