An automotive component manufacturer with multiple sites in the UK and the West Midlands require a Manufacturing Engineer to provide manufacturing engineering support to current production lines. The ideal candidate will have automotive manufacturing experience working with exterior or interior trim products.

The Role

Reporting into the Operations Manager you will have the following duties:

-Plan and implement new products and changes to the manufacturing processes.
-Manage suppliers.
-Manage project and timing of complex assembly systems.
-Support the quality department in close out of customer concerns through 8D.
-Complete PFMEA's, process flows and standard operating instructions.
-Generate layout and process flows.

The Person

Educated to degree level in a manufacturing discipline or holding significant experience in first tier automotive, you will have the following experience:

-Knowledge of vacuum forming.
-Knowledge of adhesive systems, selection and processing.
-Exposure to manufacturing lines highly reliant on complex IT systems.
-Experience in a just in time (JIT) environment.
