Plant Fitter - Halstead - Up to 32,000 per annum

A well-established engineering company based in Halstead is looking for a skilled Plant Fitter to join their growing team. They have been established for over 25 years currently employs more than 100 members of staff.

The business are looking for an experienced Plant Fitter or someone with a solid background in mechanical or electrical work on plant equipment, vehicles, or similar machinery.

Overview of role:

As a Plant fitter, you will be working in a modern, fully equipped workshop on a wide range of machines, with ongoing opportunities to up skill and develop your knowledge further. In addition to a competitive salary, you'll also benefit from 29 days of holiday.

Duties:

  • Servicing and repairing equipment such as excavators, power tools, and generators
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to a high standard
  • Working collaboratively with the team to ensure all equipment is maintained and operating efficiently
  • Applying both electrical and mechanical skills across a variety of machines

Candidate requirements:

  • Strong understanding of engines, electrics, and hydraulics
  • Experience in fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Ability to follow technical guidelines and maintain service records
  • Previous experience working with plant machinery, vehicles, heavy machinery, generators, or similar equipment
