CUSTOMER SUPPORT ENGINEER - HAMPTON - £30K - £35k

My client is a global manufacturer and they are looking for a Customer Support Engineer ideally with engineering or manufacturing experience. My client makes sure that their employees are treated as internal customers. They believe in being agile, flexible and responsive to all of their team members. As a Customer Support Engineer you will be able to help identify and provide reliable solutions to assure customer satisfaction. While this is a great opportunity to build up your career in the technical customer service field, you will be joining a nice supportive team.

Responsibilities:

  • Production of quotations for sales engineers/customers in a clear, detailed and accurate manner.
  • Maintaining and producing customer price lists.
  • Assist colleagues with technical and engineering inquiries.
  • Negotiating and achieving deadlines for the submission of quotations.
  • Support bid preparation for new contracts and assist in purchasing activities.
  • Interpret customer requirements, gather proposals and specifications, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate specifications into cost estimates for both new and existing products.
  • Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts and correspondence in company databases.
  • Engage with customers to gather feedback on quotations.
  • Estimate production process costs and tooling expenses, offering recommendations for improvements as needed.
  • Identify and pursue cost reduction opportunities through cost analysis.
  • Achieving relevant targets and KPI's.
  • Record all relevant sales information on the system.
  • Explore new business opportunities aligned with strategic objectives, working closely with the External Sales Team for existing and prospective clients.
