Are you passionate about supporting children with severe learning difficulties (SLD)?
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our dynamic team in Hounslow. This role is based in a specialist school, where you'll play a vital role in supporting children with sensory needs and significant challenging behaviors.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong, positive relationships with the children, ensuring their needs are met and that they are valued as individuals.
  • Encourage and support students to be as independent as possible in all aspects of their learning.
  • Provide personal care when needed, maintaining dignity and respect for the child at all times.
  • Positively manage and support children in challenging situations, using strategies to de-escalate and redirect behavior.
  • Work collaboratively with the classroom team, communicating effectively with both adults and children.
  • Adapt to the needs of children with sensory challenges, utilising creative approaches to engage them in learning.
