A rapidly growing business with an office close to Harlow is looking for an Accounts Assistant with 2+ yearsā€™ experience to play a key part in processing business, sales and finance transactions with an emphasis on reconciliations, providing key data to the Financial Controller & working with large volumes of transactions across the globe.

Responsibilities:As an Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for:

  • Perform daily reconciliation of web transactions and record corresponding accounting entries.
  • Review un-invoiced deliveries, resolve down payment issues, and make necessary corrections.
  • Reconcile sales across multiple platforms, including eBay and Amazon. Process and reconcile these transactions fortnightly in multiple currencies.
  • Conduct monthly stock reconciliations.
  • Collaborate closely with the intercompany controller to ensure accurate reconciliations and transaction accounting.
  • Calculate revenue recognition entries for month-end and financial year-end reporting.

Key Project involvement:

  • Support integration of new software which will collaborate with SAP and enhance your user experience

Requirements:As an Accounts Assistant, you will need:

  • The willingness to problem solve and implement your own ideas to enhance processes
  • Experienced with high volume transactions & reconciliations
  • Able to manipulate large amounts of data in Excel
  • Understanding of double entry bookkeeping and preparation of accounts to trial balance
  • Self-motivatedĀ and able to use own initiative to solve problems
